he 2011 Kodiak CBC is less than a month away, on Saturday, 17
Hi all, The 2011 Kodiak CBC is less than a month away, on Saturday, 17 December 2011. Please let me know if you are interested in participating in the field or at a feeder. For most participants, the field component will be a dawn to dusk affair, although acomodations will be made for people with less time to spend, and especially for people bringing children. The field parties are organized prior to count day, so please email or call me if you want to participate or have any questions about the count. If you or anyone you know would like to participate at a bird feeder, please email or call me and I will answer questions and/or send you the 2011 Feeder Form. Count results will be compiled at a post-count pot luck at Claudia and Stosh Anderson's house for all participants and their families. There will be a presentation on the Winter Birds of Kodiak at the December Kodiak Audubon Society meeting on Friday, 9 December. The meeting will be at Kodiak College in the Benny Benson Bldg, Room 166. (Free) pizza will be served at 6:30, and the presentation will begin at 7:00. Everyone is encouraged to attend what has become an annual pizza fest. Thanks, Rich MacIntosh 486-3087 Kodiak p.s. This drill gets repeated for the 31 December 2011 Narrow Cape-Kalsin Bay CBC (except for the pizza).
