Winter Birds Presentation & Annual Membership Meeting


Please join Kodiak Audubon for its December Program presented by Rich MacIntosh.  He will present a slide show with identification tips on the Winter Birds of Kodiak on Friday, December 11, 2015 in room 106 (across from the Director’s Office) at Kodiak College in the Benny Benson Building.

Doors open at 6:30 pm for pizza , to renew your membership, and to shop for Audubon gear.   Door prizes will be given out around 6:45 pm and Rich’s talk will begin at 7:00 p.m.  

Christmas Bird Count Days

This is a wonderful opportunity to sharpen your skills for the 2015 counts. This year’s count will be held in town on Saturday, December 19 and at Narrow Cape on Sunday, January 3.

International Migratory Bird Day May 30, 2015



Join the Kodiak Audubon Society and the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge on May 30th to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day.

The event will begin at 10:00am with bird feeder building for children and then there will be a presentation featuring a live boreal owl, Fang, with handler Chris Maack from the Bird Treatment and Learning Center.


2015 Audubon Hiking Schedule

The Kodiak Audubon Society invites you to join us for a stroll, a hike, or a climb!  All hikes are free and open to the public. Meet your hike leader at 9:30 am in front of the Kodiak Island Convention & Visitors Bureau (Ferry Building) at the end of Center Avenue, downtown. 

The hike difficulty is rated from 1 (easy walk) to 5 (difficult) so you can select trips with a level of difficulty you can manage.
